Rennie Chong Tai Chi Training Centre Gathering Night 2008

 


Rennie Chong Tai Chi Training Centre Gathering Night has become good and warm tradition of his school. On 15 December 2008, his students met again at Toa Payoh Sport for Life Centre. The Night was started with a buffet followed by the official part.

A number of experienced Tai Chi practitioners were Guests of Honour of the Night:

Everyone was happy to see again among the guests of honour Master Tu Guo Qiang, Master Chong's Shi Xiong:

An important part of Taiji Night this year was the official launch of Master Chong's long-awaited DVD.

Interesting and diverse performances followed. A Tai Chi sword form by Mr Lim:

Most intriguing Wu Qin or Play of Five Animals...

... with the oldest participant, Mdm Foo, in her 80s fully absorbed by the qigong exercise and demonstrating amazing concentration, vigour, and flexibility: 

Master Chong's students performed the 37-step routine:

followed by an graciose form with fan by Mulan Group:

On rare occasion, Master Tu and Master Chong demonstrated free push-hands with sensitivity, softness, and technical prowess, which also served an example of truly friendly and gentlemanly tui-shou:

The last performance was Master Chong's precise and  beautiful 37-step routine.

At the end of the Taiji Night, Master Chong asked the Guests of Honour to help him hand the certificates of various levels to his students:
